四国高知のハンコ屋小谷印判店でございます。
昨日戸棚を整理していたら、奥からポン酢が出てきました。
こんな仕事もしたなあ。懐かしい。
当店はハンコ屋だけど、ハンコを彫るだけが仕事ではありません。
時には作画の依頼を受けることもあります。
数年前、先輩が店主をしていた四万十市内のある居酒屋さんのイメージキャラクターの作画と、その絵を使ったポン酢のラベルを作りました。
高知県幡多地域の妖怪伝説に猿候（エンコウ）という子供の妖怪がいて、それを使ったものでと依頼されたのです。
エンコウは三種類描いて、これはサーファーエンコウのイラスト。他はカヌーイストエンコウと酔っ払いエンコウ。
それについてはまたその内。
市内のスーパーマーケットや物産市場に置いていてサーファーの方々のお土産に人気だったみたい。
何故サーファーかというと四万十市には有名なサーフポイントがあって、そこ目当てで中四国や関西からやって来るんですよ。四万十川・海・サーフィンのワードが入っている品物は他にないので大量購入してくれていたそう。
一時期は沢山置いていたけど一年くらいで事情があって使用取りやめになり、今は誰が描いたのかよくわからない『リアルなオジサン』のイラストになっています。
エンコウラベルにしたら売上伸びたよって言われて、評判良かったのにな。
直ぐに切り替わってしまったのは仕方ないが、初めて自分の仕事が広く人目に付く機会を得て、良い経験になり自信がつきました。
先輩には本当に感謝。

Yesterday, when I was rearranging the cupboards, I found ponzu (Citrus-flavored dashi soy sauce) from the back.
I used to do this kind of work. It brings back memories.
We are a stamp shop, but engraving stamps is not our only job.
Sometimes we are asked to do some drawing.
A few years ago, I drew the image character for a certain izakaya in Shimanto City, where one of my seniors was the owner, and created a ponzu (Japanese citrus juice) label using the drawing.
The legend of yokai in the Hata area of Kochi Prefecture includes a child yokai called “Enkou,” and I was asked to use it in the character.
I drew three types of Enkou: this is an illustration of a surfer Enkou, the others are a canoeist Enkou and a canoeist Enkou. The other two are a canoeist and a drunken one.
I will tell you more about them later.
It was sold at supermarkets and product markets in the city and was a popular souvenir for surfers.
The reason why surfers came to Shimanto City was because there is a famous surf point in Shimanto City, and they came from Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kansai for the surf point. Since there was no other product with the words “Shimanto River,” “ocean,” and “surfing” in it, they bought a lot of them.
For a while we had a lot of them, but after a year or so we stopped using them for some reason, and now they have an illustration of a “realistic old man” that I don’t know who drew it.
I was told that sales went up when they used the Enko label, and it was well received.
I had to switch immediately, but it was a good experience and boosted my confidence to have the opportunity to have my work widely seen by the public for the first time.

어제 찬장을 정리하고 있었는데 안쪽에서 폰즈가 나왔습니다.
이런 일도 했구나.그립다。
저희 가게는 도장집이지만 도장을 새기는 것만이 일은 아닙니다.
때로는 작화의 의뢰를 받기도 합니다.
몇 년 전 선배가 점주로 있던 시만토 시내의 한 술집 이미지 캐릭터 작화와 그 그림을 사용한 폰즈 라벨을 만들었습니다.
고치현 하타 지역의 요괴 전설에 엔코우 라는 아이의 요괴가 있어서 그것을 사용한 것이라고 의뢰받은 것입니다.
엔코는 세 가지를 그리고 이것은 서퍼엔코의 일러스트.나머지는 카누이스트 엔코우와 취객 엔코우.
그것에 대해서는 또 그 중.
시내 슈퍼마켓이나 물산시장에 두고 있어서 서퍼분들의 선물로 인기였던 것 같아.
왜 서퍼냐면 시만토시에는 유명한 서프 포인트가 있고, 그곳을 목적으로 나카시코쿠와 간사이에서 오는 거에요.시만토가와, 바다, 서핑 워드가 들어있는 물건은 따로 없기 때문에 대량 구입해 주었다고 한다.
한때는 많이 두었지만 1년정도 시간이 되어 사용이 취소되어 지금은 누가 그렸는지 잘 모르는 아저씨 일러스트가 되어있습니다.
엔코우 라벨로 했더니 매출이 늘었다고 해서 평판이 좋았는데.
금방 바뀌어 버린 것은 어쩔 수 없지만, 처음으로 자신의 일이 널리 눈에 띄는 기회를 얻고, 좋은 경험이 되어 자신감이 생겼습니다.
