Workshop in kochi.

Workshop in kochi.

Hello everyone. On December 11th, I served as an instructor for a stamp carving workshop at this year’s Japanese cultural experience exchange event for ALTs (Assistant Language Teachers) in the prefecture. I would like to thank everyone involved in organizing this event.

Many of the ALTs who participated last time expressed their desire to join again this year, saying they wanted to make another stamp. As a result, it was decided to hold the event again this year. The recruitment was announced, and the initial 20 spots for new participants filled up quickly, so we added another 10 spots, which also filled up just as fast. I feel grateful yet nervous about the overwhelming response. For those who wanted to participate again but couldn’t, I apologize. Please join us next time. Even if you’re not in Kochi, you can still come to my shop in Nakamura, so feel free to contact me anytime.

This time, there were also shamisen and martial arts experience classes happening simultaneously, so the venue was the conference room at the Prefectural Budokan. Although there were 30 participants, due to various misunderstandings, we ended up renting a room that could only accommodate 15 people, resulting in a very cramped situation.

Tetsuya Hongo, a resident of Susaki, interpreted for us again this year. Thank you very much. We would also like to thank the prefectural officials who helped with the preparations. We look forward to working with you again next year.
